About APCA Chandigarh

APCA (Academy of Pastry & Culinary Arts) began in Malaysia in 2010 and now has academies in five countries, with alumni who won the World Pastry Cup in 2019. APCA Chandigarh, our new campus in SAS Nagar (Mohali), is opening soon, and we are building its founding team.

The role

Own the P&L, operations, admissions and brand of the academy. You bring a hospitality or culinary background with strong business acumen, and you will be the face of APCA in the Chandigarh, Mohali and Tricity area. You will lead the whole campus team, from the kitchen to admissions, finance and stores.

What you’ll do

• Oversee the fit-out, equipment installation and launch readiness of the campus
• Hire and onboard all staff (with HR support)
• Drive admissions: set targets, monitor enquiries and convert them to enrolments
• Build local partnerships with hotels, restaurants, corporates and schools
• Manage the P&L: revenue, costs and profitability
• Represent the academy in media, PR and community events
• Ensure compliance: FSSAI, labour, fire safety and insurance
• Report to the Founder / Board

What we’re looking for

• Degree in Hospitality Management, Culinary Arts, Pastry Arts or a related field
• 8–10 years of total experience, including at least 5 years in a leadership or management role (Centre Head, Academic Head, Head Chef or Pastry Chef)
• Experience in hospitality, culinary education or the premium service industry
• P&L ownership, team management and admissions/enrolment targets

Nice to have

• APCA alumni preferred
• FSSAI Food Safety Supervisor certification
• MBA or PG Diploma in Marketing / Operations
• A culinary or pastry background
• Experience launching a new centre or business unit
• An existing network in the Chandigarh/Mohali hospitality and education sector
• Experience with booking software, CRM and digital marketing

• P&L management, budgeting, forecasting, pricing and revenue optimisation
• Admissions funnel: enquiry → counselling → walkaround → enrolment
• Vendor management, procurement oversight and cost control
• Team building, hiring, training, performance management and culture setting
• Brand positioning, local marketing, partnerships and corporate outreach
• Compliance (FSSAI, labour laws, fire safety), SOPs and quality audits
• Entrepreneurial, accountable, customer-obsessed and resilient

Languages

Excellent English, Hindi and Punjabi; confident with public speaking and media interviews
